9 Hours Metta Mindfulness Retreat
One of the qualities we Buddhist always want to cultivate and develop is our Wisdom, which can be done through the practice of meditation.
In conjunction with the Buddha Day Celebration 2021, we would like to invite you to join our “9 Hours Metta Mindfulness Retreat”, which will be conducted online by Ven. Mahinda.
Update: Registration through Google Form is CLOSED as we have reached the maximum number of participants for our Zoom platform. However, you can log on to our Facebook Live for the “Dhamma talk and guided meditation” session at 9.30am (no registration required.)

Self practice on sitting and walking meditation, or performing own activities at home but with greater mindfulness.

📚 Speaker’s Profile 📚
Venerable Mahinda was born in 1949 in Malacca, Malaysia. He was ordained in 1976 as a Buddhist monk under the tutelage of Ven. K. Sri Dhammananda Nayaka Thera. He has taught Mindfulness and Metta Meditation for more than 40 years in over 20 countries, and is well known for Buddhist Novitiate Programmes which he conducted annually for 31yrs. He is the founder of the Metta Round the World project which unites people throughout the world in the practice of loving kindness for world peace, harmony and stability. He has held Metta Conventions in Singapore, Sri Lanka, Australia and Malaysia.
Currently, Venerable Mahinda is the General Advisor to the Buddhist Missionary Society Malaysia, Founder and Spiritual Director of the Aloka Foundation, Malaysia. He is also the abbot of the Aloka Meditation Centre in Australia, founder and Spiritual Director of the Australian Buddhist Mission, Inc, and advisor to a number of other Buddhist organisations in Malaysia, Singapore and Australia.
