P FOR PRECEPTS
The Five Precepts are training rules to help us to live ethically and morally good lives. Based on the law of karma, one’s action today will impact one’s happiness in the future. Thus, upholding the Five Precepts, you are sowing the seeds of happiness that may mature in this very life or in your next lives.

Q FOR QUIETNESS

Spend time in quietness. Just like your physical body, your mind needs break as well. Step away from your busy schedule, sit quietly and just observe your breath or yourself in the moment. A couple of minutes a day like this will have a tremendous significance on your life.

R FOR RESILIENCE
Resilience is our ability to bounce back from life’s challenges. When the going gets tough, stay resilient, stay positive. Remember, all phenomena arise and fall. They are all impermanent. “Don’t judge me by my success, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.” – Nelson Mandela

S FOR SELF-COMPASSION
Self-compassion means being gentle, kind and understanding with yourself – accepting that you are not perfect and that there is potential for learning and growth. Remember, self-compassion is not equivalent to selfishness.

T FOR TOLERANCE
You don’t have to agree with others in order to be tolerant. Accept others for who they are. Simply because you can’t change them. Only THEY can change themselves. The more you accept, the more tolerant you are, the happier you will be.

When you love, love unconditionally. When you give or serve others, do so unconditionally. This is TRUE loving and giving.
